As Easy As ABE
ABE: Adult Basic Education

The DACC accreditation report by the Higher Learning Commission recognizes the Adult Education Division for significant accomplishments, progress and/or practices in the following: “The ABE Program at DACC is excellent. It deserves special mention due to the number of students served, the uniqueness and variety of these services, and the quality strategies staff chooses to reach out to their community. Students learn in an environment that is nurturing by staff that has a passion for helping them succeed….I will be encouraging our ABE staff to visit this program upon returning home.”
The mission of the Adult Education Division is to provide comprehensive adult education instruction & support services in a learner centered, supportive and collaborative environment to enhance quality of life that leads to life-long learning, civic participation, and personal success.
ABE services are provided according to a learner's ability to benefit. Should a learner's ability to progress come into question, the matter will be addressed at the proper professional and administrative levels, and referrals may be made.
